Rocky Mountain Horse Stallions

Some say they make up 30 % of the equation of the foal …

We have selected some special stallions that complement our mares very well.
In addition, we regularly import mares bred to top producers in Kentucky.

RVF’S Risky Business

Born in 2003 in Kentucky, USA
Sire: Hurricane George
Dam: Seminole Wind II by Amigo Blue
Full Pedigree
15.2h (1.57m)
Color: chocolate (one silver, no red gene)

Risky is the epitome of the Rocky Mountain Horse with his beautiful conformation, rich dark chocolate body and long luxurious flowing white mane and tail, and a very sweet disposition. Everywhere you take him, the crowds are in awe.. so, Risky is the ideal ambassador and has been shown at several expos as Equitana. His gait is trail pleasure and easy, nothing spectacular, but his looks are stunning. Meanwhile, there are quite a few offspring of him in Europe, and they seem to be very convincing.. he throws his type and beautiful colors and because people are so pleased, they often bring the mares again after a few years.

CF’s Barbarosa

RMHA registered and certified
Born 2011 in Kentucky, USA
Sire: Doc’s CC Rider (by Dock)
Dam: Chief Kelly (by Barlow Chief)
Full Pedigree
15h
Color: black (no red gene)

Barbarosa is one of the kindest, gentlest stallions I have ever met. Anyone can ride him, with mares, on the trails etc. He has an amazing depth of gait, never shows tendencies towards the diagonal or pace, even ridden completely bridle-less, he will maintain a clear 4 beat gait. He is a great example of the breed and we hope to use him with many mares in the years to come. His maternal 3/4 brother, CF’s Zorro, is a multi Champion in the showring in Kentucky.

Blue Mountain Spirit

Born in 2003 in Kentucky, USA
Sire: Johnsons Toby
Dam: Joans Sugar Baby by Clemons Tim
Full Pedigree
Color: Chocolate (one silver, no red gene)
14.3h (1.49m)

Spirit is one of the last offspring of the legendary Johnsons Toby, known for his magnificent gait.  On maternal side, Spirit has many well-known siblings in Kentucky as The Right Stuff and Gilpins Southern Comfort. Spirit is a phenomenally gaited horse with a locked-in 4 beat, able to execute to a high speed. Maybe unassuming in his stable, he shows brio and presence under saddle. Won several titles in hand and under saddle as RMHA International Champion Show Pleasure 2007 and Reserve Grand Champion Show Pleasure 2007 at the RMHA Nationals, 2007 International Champion Stallion in Hand.

Spirit is very laid-back with other stallions and minds his own business, being not “studdy” at all. He represents the smaller compact “old-time” Rocky with a Spanish look. It doesn’t surprise anyone that he already has champion offspring in Show Pleasure classes (RRF’s Fashionista, RRF’s Prime Time). For me, there is no better stallion if you want to improve gait. With his bloodlines he is a genetic goldmine …

Spirit has found a new home in Germany, we are confident that he will continue producing magnificent foals there! As we have frozen semen of him, he will be the sire of our foals too in future …

This is a true fairytale horse! He was one of the 2010 TV show “America’s Most Favorite Trail Horse” finalists, a Sam Tuttle Versatility Award winner, and was shown not only under saddle put also pulling a cart!

Thank you Kathy Allison, for the beautiful pictures!

MX Wrangler has been sold to Stald Nordkap in Denmark. We will still be having his foals in future, as we could obtain frozen semen earlier. We congratulate Gitte Arnason on the purchase of this wonderful horse and hope he will give many beautiful babies.
